Mock Interview: Volunteer to interview students and provide feedback to enhance their skills. Time Commitment: 1-6 hours Grade Level: 10-11
Career Fair: Share entry-level positions, career advancement opportunities, and information about your organization with potential future employees. Time Commitment: Less than 2 hours Grade Level: 6-12
Field Trip: Host a group of students at your workplace to inspire interest in your field. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours Grade Level: K-12
CTE Job Shadow: Host a Career Technical Education (CTE) student at your workplace to observe firsthand what you do day-to-day. Time Commitment: 3-7 hours Grade Level: 11-12
CTE Mentorship: Provide industry-specific advice and skills to students in Career Technical Education (CTE) classes as they work through real-world projects for a sustained period of time (typically at least 3 sessions). Time Commitment: 4.5 hours+ Grade Level: 11-12
CTE Internship: Host a Career Technical Education (CTE) student to regularly work alongside industry professionals in a structured environment to develop specific occupational skills. This placement requires an internship agreement between the district and organization. Time Commitment: 40 hours+ Grade Level: 11-12
CTE Skills Training: Teach a progression of career related skills to Career Technical Education (CTE) students interested in your career field over a sustained period of time (typically at least 3 sessions). Time Commitment: 4.5 hours+ Grade Level: 11-12
CTE Advisory Committee: Use your industry experience to advise our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs to better prepare students for the world of work. Time Commitment: 2 meetings each school year with district CTE staff and program area teachers.
AVID Tutorial Facilitator: Facilitate a group of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) students in an inquiry-based, student-led tutorial group in the classroom under the guidance of classroom teacher (online training provided). Time Commitment: 1 hour/week, Grade Level: 6-11
