Justin Yuen is CEO of Grouptrail (formerly FMYI), a visual database for goal tracking software company with a focus on cradle to career program management with school districts and nonprofits working with youth, overseeing general management and operations, product strategy, and sales, marketing, and customer success. Our highly configurable platform has been used by the New York City Department of Education, Portland Public Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, College Access: Research & Action, Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, Oregon MESA, Nike, Sony, Aflac, HBO, Hyatt, Disney, Scholastic, the UK National Health Service, and thousands of other nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and companies. Grouptrail/FMYI has been covered by the New York Times, Businessweek, TechCrunch, GigaOM, CMSWire, BNET, Web Worker Daily, Salon.com, The Oregonian, and more.
Before launching the company, he was a Senior Manager in Corporate Sustainable Development at Nike, Inc. Prior to that, Justin was Nike's head of Footwear Quality for the Europe/Middle East/Africa region in the Netherlands.
Justin is a Trustee of the National Crittenton Foundation, Board Member of the Street Trust, and on the Metropolitan Portland Leadership Council of the Oregon Community Foundation.
Previously, he was Board Chair of the Street Trust, Board Chair of the Natural Step Network, the Multnomah County Advisory Committee on Sustainability and Innovation, Co-Chair of the Portland/Multnomah County Sustainable Development Commission, Board Member of the Northwest Earth Institute, the Portland Parks Foundation, Advisory Board of the University of Michigan's Erb Institute For Global Sustainable Business, Portland State University’s Implementing Sustainability Program, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, and a member of the Metro Portland Community Investment Initiative Leadership Council.
Justin has a degree in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University. He has been a speaker at Fortune Brainstorm Green, Greenbiz Innovation Forum, White House's GreenGov, US Army, Pentagon, NASA, Net Impact, and numerous universities and conferences.
